Almost Thirty Years

Okay, so I do need to get to bed, but I just had to gush about the awesomeness of the Alias S1 finale. Namely the ship. Eee! -- I love that D&Cish moment with Syd and Vaughn and the water and she thinks he's drowned. And also the little meeting in the train station, and just their general level of cuteness. Will was actually pretty cool too, and that's not something I say lightly. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in Syd for not realizing that there was something weird going on before Paris, but I guess she has a lot on her plate already *g*

Oh, and the gag reel -- fun! Jen has a cute giggle, and it is so weird seeing VG cracking up. Although when he told the director (or whoever was off-camera) to 'don't ever do that again', he was using his scary Jack voice :D

So what have I taken away from my S1 marathon? I mean, these were all episodes I had seen before, but not for a while, and not in so compressed a fashion.

- You don't realize it right away, but Syd has definitely changed over the years. She's much more like Jack than she was at the beginning of the series.

- Part of the reason that Jack's mouth looks so abnormally small in the latter seasons is because, I think, his face has gotten a little chubbier.

- The character of Will did have a purpose, but I still find him complete idiotic and annoying.

- The character of Francie also had a purpose, but I never really cared about her beyond the fact that Syd cared about her, if that makes any sense.

- Weiss is a good friend, and he looks like he would give really good hugs.

- Vaughn. Leather. Hee.

Now... on to Season 2! *looks impatiently at half.com*

*smiles* If you think it's strange to see VG cracking up here, just wait until you watch the Season 3 bloopers as he really loses a few times on that one. My favorite bloopers are on the Season 3 DVDs.

Oh yes I agree - Sydney, especially of late, has become more and more like her father. I am grateful she acts more like Jack then she does Irina (even though I love Irina's character).
I don't know if I'll be getting the S3 boxset unless I can find a really good price on half... it's def my least fave season for both lauren and non-lauren related reasons. But I would like to see the gag reel :)

And I can see Nadia ending up more like her mom, actually, rather than Syd.

I can understand you not wanting to get Season 3 as there were just so many things wrong with that season (and look how they spent most of this season cleaning up the mess they made last season!). I could not stand Lauren but I will say I did enjoy the closeness of Jack and Sydney's relationship during S3.

But I would like to see the gag reel :)

The gag reel is hilarious and I laughed so hard watching it - there's some great bloopers involving most of the cast (but especially Jennifer Garner of course) - and there's even a blooper that involves Isabella Rossellini flubbing one of her lines (quite funny).

Yeah it might be interesting if Nadia did act more like Irina instead of Sydney but I don't know if they'll ever pursue that now that Nadia's been turned into a zombie.
