Just finished reading the most recent Stargate novel, A Matter of Honor.

Man, it is so much better than Snacrifice Moon that it's not even funny. There's a plot, there's genuine action, there's excitement and peril and meaningful development for all members of the team -- and yes, there are four of them -- and even worthwhile (if less than sympathetic) original characters.

Now where on Earth is part two?? *looks pathetic*

Oh, and L-- let me know how much I owe you. I still have a PayPal account lying around somewhere.

The first one didn't, especially considering it was the first shot. It's far better than the ones published in the US years ago... it just got a little bogged down in details. The second one... yeah, it sucked *g*
OK - so let me get this right .... They did a Stargate novel that was actually half-decent? Oh damn. I lost the bet. Now I'll have to give the monkey back ..... *sighs*
I'm working on reading it
and am pacing myself through it since it's a part 1. I'm on chapter four and am really enjoying it--even a character that I wouldn't normally enjoy.

Tried to get into the first release, haven't read the second one yet. With what I read of the first one, I had issues with character point of view--there seemed to be multiple points of view in scenes. We had to know the thoughts of several or we knew the thoughts of none--it was hard to identify the point of view character for the scenes.

But A Matter of Honor--no such problems there. I'm very much enjoying it and am trying to savor it so it lasts longer.
