Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I can't say that I made a prediction. I guess I wrote less than I'd hoped, but I'm not surprised by the volume looking back.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2004?
Justice League and Batman, for sure. Bruce/Diana and Dick/Barb. I was watching JL last year (I think) but I never would have thought it would go this far!
What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
Oh, gee, I can't even remember what I've written since January.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I guess the biggest risk was going into a fandom that I really knew nothing about, and sort of learning the characters on the fly. It's been very interesting, and I've met lots of nice folks through it. I know a lot of people have fun mocking my toonship tendances, which of course I would never begrudge them *g* but I have to say I've gained a new appreciation for good writing, whether it be on the page or portrayed through acting or drawn on paper and voiced by people we never see. A good story is a good story - and good characters are good characters - no matter the medium!
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Fanfic -- I am going to finish Redux and Eleven Days in short order. I also want to write an original story based on some ideas that have been floating around in my head for months. But like I said, I don't like making predictions ;)
