(no subject)

I was afraid to go to bed last night (well, 2am PT) because no one had called it, and the only person to come out and speak was the Breck girl saying that they were going to pull a Florida.

So it was wonderful to wake up this morning and hear the news.

I was going to leave early for school but I'm going to have to stick around and watch the speeches.

I didn't post on my lj (publically) all day yesterday, and I don't plan to post (publically) about this a lot because I have a lot of friends who have very different viewpoints and are every bit as passionate about this as I am. I respect their feelings even though I don't always feel like all of them respect mine. This thread will be available for people who want to dance with me, and also people who want to have adult discussions.

All I can say is thank you, Lord. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

congrats alli
i hope Bush makes things better and finish what he started
politics is scary but also amusing at times but mostly boring with fancy words to cover up the fact that not much is said ;)

*dances*
*dances again* I just feel sorry for all the sad people today. This is such a good thing.
Amen.
Re: *dances*
I kind of feel sorry for them, too. And, shockingly enough, I'm grateful to Kerry for deciding to not drag this country through another field of chad (or whatever the Ohio equivalent would have been).

Are you watching FNC, by the way? They're talking about how there hasn't been this much of a runaway vote since '88.

Yep. I shocked myself by saying as much in my post.

And, yep, I've been watching FNC since 5am, unable to tear myself away except for about 15 minutes before Kerry's phone call. It is amazing that their saying Bush may have gotten more votes than any pres in history. I haven't heard an official percentage of registered voters who came out, but it must have been unprecidented.
Re: *dances*
All I know for sure is that the 18-25 age group turnout was not even close to what the Dems had anticipated.
imho? Kerry did what Bush didn't 4 years ago. Since Al Gore was lot more voted than Bush.

You know I respect you and your opinions and I'm happy for you but well don't wait for me to be really happy ;)
Yes, in 2000 Gore got more votes, but for better or worse that's not how our elections are decided.

Neither are the ones over here :)
elections not, the way to do them are complicated...weirdness? it's way too much inherent to human kind to spot it in some place specifically ;)
