The Stargate Survey

How long have you been a fan of Stargate SG-1?

If I remember correctly I started watching summer of '99, via syndie.

What was the main reason that you became a fan?

There were actually two main reasons. The first episode I really watched was Solitudes, and, being a serial shipper, I immediately fell in love with Sam/Jack. I taped that ep and must have watched it a dozen times; drove people around me insane. The other thing was the awsome production values. I didn't know at the time that it wasn't just some straight-to-syndie filler show, and I was just awed by the high quality of... everything. The sets, the costumes, the acting, etc.

The ONE Stargate SG-1 episode you think is the best they've done, that you can watch forever?

Gonna have to go with the crowd here and say Window of Op. I'm so predictable.

What is the ONE Stargate SG-1 episode you think could be timeless--as in always be played on the TV years from now?

Ooh, tough one. I think I would have to go with CotG, not because it's the BEST episode, but because it's where it all began.

When was Stargate SG-1 at its best?

How about, when IS Stargate SG-1 at its best? To which my answer would be, most of the time *g*

Who is the ONE character on Stargate SG-1 who you can't get enough of?

Sam. A year ago I probably would have said Jack, but AT just kicks ass.

Your favourite B-storyline (underlying thread) of Stargate SG-1?

The NID stuff... reminds me of the good old days of X-Files ;)

What's your favourite line from a Stargate SG-1 episode?

Oh, man, there are so many... but if I have to pick one, then it would be Jack in Divide and Conquer: "I didn't leave because I'd have rather died myself than lose Carter... bcause I care about her. A lot more than I'm supposed to." Because it made me fall out of my chair. :D

What's Stargate SG-1's best season out of all their seasons?

Season 4 and Season 6 are absolutely tied for me right now.

How many Stargate SG-1 conventions have you been to?

All three Gatecons.

Which ONE was your favourite?

Probably the last one, just because there were so many people there who I was able to meet, and I got hugged. Hee.

Do you think you are a fan of the show for its content or for the actors?

Oh, content. Don't get me wrong, I love RDA, AT, CJ, CN, TR and DSD to little bits... but I'm not an actor person. Too much baggage, too great a risk I'll think the actor is an egotistical moron with toast for brains and it'll ruin his-- I mean, the character for me. Mmhmm.

Out of all the charities the Stargate SG-1 fandom (ie: through Gatecon, Sekh's Party, any other events) supports, which one do you support the most?

*blinks* I'm not... really a charity person. I mean, I give to SA and I'm always happy that GC money goes to MaW, but as far as fervently supporting one... yeah, I know, I'm going to hell.

What is your favourite show of all time that's NOT Stargate SG-1?

X-Files. Despite how it all went down in a huge ball of burning wreckage, I still like watching the old episodes.

Favorite pairing of characters on Stargate SG-1?

The Canon Ship, of course; Sam and Jack *eg*
