Jamie and I went to B&N today before dinner. I got Tom Clancy's Net Force: Hidden Agendas and Bernie Goldberg's Arrogance: Rescuing America from the Media Elite. Cause, you know, I don't have enough to read right now ;)

We went to Chilis and had to wait forever for a table, but once we sat down the service was good. I had some tasty fajitas and a nummy strawberry-mango margarita. Of course, the booze always makes me ready to curl up in a little ball and drift off to sleep.

I've never really been into the Net Force books, I guess mostly because they're not really written by Tom Clancy. In fact, Tom Clancy has definitely gone downhill recently generally. Have you read many of his books?
Net Force was the first TC book I read, and I got it because I enjoyed the Net Force movie that was on SciFi. Turned out the only thing the book and the movie had in common was the characters and the basic, basic plot. But it was still enjoyable, so I bought another one in the series.

He's no Koontz, but not everyone is perfect ;)
I think I may have read the very first one, but at the time thought that it was not up to the standard of his usual novels.

I can see why you wouldn't like Tom Clancy as an author though. He writes action stuff for the military/techno thriller market.

And no he's not Koontz. But then I wouldn't be interested in reading him if he was. ;)

I'm about halfway through the second one right now. The plot is that someone is posting state secrets on the Internet, so it's more suspense at the moment then action. Not that action is bad. I'm just a character-oriented person. Lucky for me there's the fun Alex/Toni stuff going on in the background ;)

Tsk tsk, no accounting for taste.
I like character driven stuff too, but everyone has their own taste. Some books by Clancy are better at this than others.

Not everyone likes horror.
