etc // light reading

(no subject)

Between watching 24 with Sel, having eaten a bunch of hyper-making ice cream way too late at night, and getting so close to the end of my current book that I just had to stay up and finish it, I was probably up til about 4am last night/this morning.

BUT I finished reading the last book in the Mistborn series (although Sanderson cleverly left it open for another) and it was GOOD. Not amazingly fantastically great because I didn't connect with these characters as much as I connected with the characters in his other novel, Elantris (which is interesting because you would think over the course of 3 books, rather than one, you would get much more intimate with the characters). But the complexities of the plot, how everything connects and hearkens back to the very first chapter of the first book, and the way the twists make you say "Doh, I should have seen that coming!" rather than "Well that came completely out of left field" all make this a very, very good trilogy.

His next, Warbreaker, comes out on June 9th.

Anne's House of Dreams by LM Montgomery (yes, I'm reading another book not from my queue, a book I've already read and that will likely frustrate me because I really just want more Anne/Gil and less other characters, but I can't help myself).
