I just got a call from the principal of Gehringer (my first-choice school), and she wants to talk to me, so I go down at 2pm (about four hours from now).
Back from my interview with the principal of Gehringer. It was some of the typical questions: educational background, importance of standards, instructional strategies for English learners, that kind of thing. In the end she said that she has to 'find out from the district what to do next' - she's brand new, just started yesterday and school starts on the 31st - but that I sound like a good fit for the school and I come highly recommended by my master teachers and the principal who interviewed me last week. So she said she should be giving me a call in a day or two.
Dude, I'm so tired of waiting. Waiting sucks! In the meantime, I still have my interview on Thursday with the principal of Disco Bay Elementary, a kindergarten position, and with my luck I'll be offered something on the spot. Oy!
