Have applied for new health insurance through a different provider. Even considering my medical history, it would only cost about half of what I'm paying now, and - even better - it makes a lot more sense. Plus, my current GP seems to be a provider on their network. Yippie.

The thing is that, about six months from now when I'm student teaching, I'm not going to be able to work. Everything I've heard - although the teachers on my flist can probably either confirm or deny this - is that student teaching is basically a full time job in itself. Only one we don't get paid for. Anyway, I want to be able to have health, vision and dental during that semester, so I'm working now on saving up for the monthly. What I'm paying now would just be out of the question, considering I have car insurance and other expenses. I've even found myself wondering if I should hold off student teaching for an extra semester so I can work longer and put away more money. It would be, in a way, a comfortable wait because I'm quite happy with my job at Kohl's. But it wouldn't be one that would benefit me in the long run.

Anyway -- this would be better. Much. Hopefully I'll hear back from them soon and be able to terminate my old coverage before they suck another month's payment out of my bank account.

Didn't get much of anything done today, except for watching Sound of Music. Now I can't seem to stop humming "Climb Every Mountain". I also decided - while I was in the shower, oddly enough - that my Dick/Babs fic should be in first-person rather than third. Thankfully I don't have that many pages to re-write.

I've had a tummyache most of the day. I think maybe I ate too much of my chocolate orange last night. :(

Nominations for the SJFAs have been coming in nicely, but there's a lot of names I haven't seen yet -- so get your ass over there and nominate!

As for me... I'm going to finish watching this episode of Ten Years Younger, and then watch some Batman! (Nananananananana...)
