Heeeelp meee...

Does anyone know of a site that has pictures of USAF dress uniforms? Particularly women's uniforms?

[Edit: Okay, I've partly found what I was looking for... but I don't suppose anyone can explain the difference between, like, the class A and class B uniforms?]

Off the top of my head (been a while since I looked it up, and I still need to fix the lining on my $3 eBay skirt and finish getting Sam's ribbons), I *think* it comes down to Class A = blazer, Class B = shirtsleeves. Ditto for men.

It sort of translates to full-on executives-on-the-floor professional vs. regular "office attire" (but not business casual). Any formal occasion (but not mess-dress formal, just to confuse you further -- things like funerals, ceremonies, most anything involving being on public view) calls for Class A; most regular workdays you have the option of either (assuming you're not in a fatigues job).

I have a PDF of uniform regs stashed on the other computer; I'll try to remember to email it to you later.
Thanks for the explanation!

I think I have the PDF you're talking about, but I was confused because I didn't see anything that specifically explained the difference between class A and class B.

Just to bug you one more time... do you know if there's any significant difference between when the women wear the dress uniforms with slacks, and when they wear them with the skirt? I think we've seen Sam in both.

*nods* She and Janet both wore slacks to Sha're's funeral (or at least the version of it that happened in Daniel's head while Amaunet was fricasseeing it). Pretty sure that was the only time. It caught my eye because I don't recall ever having seen a woman wearing pants in blues before that. But I also haven't spent any substantial amount of time on/near a base since my dad got out in '82, and I'm willing to bet they couldn't wear them then. No idea how common it is, or if the permissible occasions are different. Therefore I am clueless, and babbling without being helpful. ;-)
Well, we could always just go with the standard FIAD answer: "Daniel didn't know what he was dreaming about!" ;)
