WAAAHHH

So I was up until 3am finishing Words of Radiance, and I've spent the last two hours this morning on forums reading up on theories and easter eggs and codes and speculation and...

THANKS FOR BREAKING MY BRAIN, SANDERSON. IT'S NOT LIKE I WAS USING IT OR ANYTHING.

Brandon Sanderson has these different standalone fantasy books/series, right? Elantris, Warbreaker, and the Mistborn books. All take place on different words, with very different magic systems that are all very detailed and almost mathematic in their precision. And some people - not me - that there was a name that kept recurring in these books, a certain character who doesn't play a large role but seems to be able to put his two cents in, and it was a moment of OMG they're all connected somehow.

Then about four years ago he came out with The Way of Kings, which is the first book in a ten-book masterpiece and if he GRRMs us I'm going to claw his eyes out and this guy was back! In a fairly substantial role this time! And then people started figuring out, "Hey, you know the minor character in this chapter? Judging by his description/speech patterns, etc, he's really (minor character) from Elantris! And this other guy is (minor character) from Mistborn And various flashbacks and epigraphs started reinforcing that, to borrow Agents of SHIELD's hashtag, It's All Connected.

A couple weeks ago the next book in the series, Words of Radiance, came out, and the book-hopping guy is back, possibly using magic from one of the other books, and one of the minor characters in WoR is a major character from a different book, and and then at the end...
