Merry Christmas to all!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Things were a little hectic but, overall, fun... I spent the night at my folks', along with my brother and sis-in-law, and we opened presents there, then went over to my aunt's and did it all over again with that side of the family :) Then I drove back home tonight and the cats were quite happy to see me :)

From mom and dad I got a Nook Simpletouch (which is great because my Nook 1st Gen is about on its last legs), a 2014 calendar (tradition), a shredder (can't be too careful these days), some wine glasses (I've been drinking wine out of plastic cups), a fleece sweater, a Groupon for a massage at a local spa. a Sephora gift card, and various and sundry candies and little stocking goodies :)

From bro and sis in law, two books that were on my wish list: Kevin Dutton's The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success and Dr. Robert Lanza's Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness are the Keys to Understanding the True Nature of the Universe because I heard about them on the Armstrong & Getty radio show and they sounded interesting :)

From my aunt, uncle and cousin I got a scarf, a blouse, and a wall-mounted jewelry organizer I saw on Etsy.

And from my other cousin and his family I got a lunch bag, a little book with teacher stories, and a BB&B gift card.

I got my mom a colander, some fancy olive oil and vinegar, and a new cell phone (a collaboration with dad) because hers is dead. I got dad a t-shirt and beans from Jelly Belly, and a promise to go with him on a tour of the factory, which is here in town. (He loves Jelly Bellys, and he's never been!) I got bro and sis-in-law electric salt and pepper shakers and a Target gift card. My cousin Shelby got DVDs and a coloring book (kind of a gag gift, but she seemed to appreciate it ;)), my aunt got a robe, and my uncle got a Home Depot gift card (his favorite place in the world). My other cousin and his wife got a Wonderbag (not related to the Wonderbra... it's a non-electric slow-cooker), and their sons got some books, a puzzle, and some candy :)
