Here's the description:

"Tired of being dismissed as a 'vocal minority'? We're fans who signed on to watch "Stargate SG-1", not "Stargate: SamandJack". Fans who believe Stargate is a human drama in a scifi setting, not a soap opera. Fans who care about the team, about all four members of our SG-1 family. Whichever romantic pairing we may enjoy in fanfiction, onscreen we want the team together, we want their characters and integrity respected, not compromised for a grafted-on romance you can find on any soap and which excludes every fan who doesn't see it or want to watch it. We thought "Stargate: SamandJack" was behind us in Season 4, but now there's talk of a kiss coming up in Season 7. Have Sci Fi learned nothing from Showtime? We're not looking to flood your inbox with mail, in fact, there'll be no mail at all. Just join the group for a fuss-free, completely
private way to make your point. Stargate SG-1 onscreen = pro-friendship, pro-family, pro-TEAM. We're not a minority at all "

Now, here's the interesting part:

Unhuh. Can you say "sockpuppets"?

One thing is for sure... the phrase "our SG-1 family" smells just like the spoiled Denialite/OS brats, MS's footsoldiers. Shocking!

::smirk:: fools! ;)

I saw this posted on a list a couple days ago ::sigh:: all it's gonna do is ignite everything up again :( not that it was ever really "un-ignited".

this is exactly what shanksy-wanksy wanted when he made a point of mentioning the ship leters at SFX.
and obviously it's sock puppets. in additon to MW, this was a holiday weekend, which are notoriously slow on the net as most folks have real lives to attend to.

what i'd love to find is who's the owner and to see them advertising it on OS and other places
From what I've heard, no one can see the members pages except for the owner.

A wee bit fishy, you think?
Oh, yadda yadda yadda yadda

If I have to suffer with Daniel and all the boring and painful show-ruining soapy cheese that comes from the character, they can suffer with ship. Sounds fair to me. Tough luck if they don't agree.

And maybe one day they could stop assumuming pro-ship is anti-team. By their very own behaviour, pro-Daniel is anti-team, anti-stargate, anti-friendship, anti-friendly and anti-sane.

And maybe one day they should give their heads a rap with a hard object and realise not all the fans watch the show for the same damn reasons they do.

Bring on the kiss, with lots of groping. ;)
"And maybe one day they should give their heads a rap with a hard object and realise not all the fans watch the show for the same damn reasons they do."

Sorry, but there are a lot fans out there who don't watch the series for Sam/Jack and I think the producers should respect that. Better no ship than a ship many people will hate.

There are fans out there, myself included, who don't watch the show for Daniel Jackson. Do I get no Daniel Jackson because I now hate *him*?

Jeannette
Sorry, but there are a lot of fans that watch the show for a lot of different reasons, and fans (if you can call some people that) are just going to have to live with it. If something happens you don't like, ignore it and pay attention to what you do like instead of focusing on and worring to death over the stuff you don't like.

If every fan got to see something they didn't like taken out of the show there would be nothing left. And non-shippers certainly don't have any more clout than people who are bored to tears by Daniel or people who want more action and less wishy-washy team stuff.

Sucks to share, doesn't it?
Hm... I'm sort of torn on this. I don't want Sam/Jack, not in the show, also not in fanfiction. I can't change what fanfic authors do because it's their right to write what they want, but if they get together in the series, I swear I will curse the whole production team.

Eilan, probably making herself enemies right now
I think the point that Jeanette was trying to make, and the reason people are annoyed with this list, is that obviously no one is going to be 100% happy with the way things go on the show. Some storylines we like, some we don't. Some we follow avidly, some we could care less about. But if the show took away every storyline that bored someone or made someone angry, there wouldn't be any show left! No one's saying that the show's focus should change to be All About Sam and Jack... we just want a little resolution, and of course a kiss would be lovely :) Considering that this is a storyline that TPTB initiated 6 years ago, I don't think that's too much to ask.

True...
so the kids need a new project after saving a certain character ??maybe they should use there free time for some good therapy instead of whining about a tv show besides when was sg1 ever a soap ......so whats next ? demanding fanfic to be filmed and used in eps ,writing letters because a character name isnt the right one

so what if they kiss?? just another ep this "vocal minority" wouldnt watch ,its not like them not watchin will do harm to the ratings ,i mean they did skip a whole season

ps ,if you are not allowed to post how is this a "private way to make your point"????????

and i wont even mention the healing of fandom or respecting someones point of view
On a closing note...
I apologize if I offended anyone here and got some facts wrong or was too harsh or anything.

It's 3 a.m. now and my English is getting worse every minute. Please, let's agree to disagree on this and put it to rest, okay? This is something I can live with very well. I shouldn't have posted in the first place and so it's probably my fault it worked out like that. I'm sorry.

I'm now off to bed.

Re: On a closing note...
Eilan,

It's only because you threw down a gauntlet. You said that there were threatening shippers. When asked for proof you said, "I saw some once." I'm sorry but I'm afraid that doesn't cut it here. I have seen bad behavior from every corner of fandom but the "Team" folks are by far the biggest group demonstrating it.

They demand what they want and belittle what they dislike. I find their behavior reprehensible and their posts whiny.

For the record, I am NOT a shipper.
