etc // got something for ya!

stay classy

I know that some of my friends are against the passage of Prop 8 here in California, and although I disagree with you I respect your right to your opinions. However, I cannot respect bullshit like this.

Seems like the tolerant left is really only tolerant as long as you agree with them.

The (male) anchor needs to be smacked, though. "There's a lot of anger and hate on both sides." Yes, that 69 year old woman looked extremely hateful standing there with the reporter, trying to share her side of the story.
Unfortunately crap like this has been happening to and from both sides all along.

I was very impressed this weekend that the rally I attended was peaceful. The Yes on 8 folks were few but left alone as far as I saw.

It's a good thing to agree to disagree.
I would be perfectly happy to publicly denounce any Yes on 8 riots going after little old ladies, just tell me where to go. ;)
Going after little old ladies, men, soccer moms...there is plenty of footage from pre-election of some rather nasty acts from plenty of Yes on 8 folks, just as there is of the No folks.

That's my point. There will be, and are, assholes on both sides of this issue...just like every other issue.
Hm, well, the only time I ever saw Yes people rallying was on the corner in the rain last Tuesday. Can't really comment on what I haven't seen.
I'll look for the videos after I get some work done. The local CBS channel showed the stupid of both sides. My fave? The Yes guy who shouted at No protesters that a vote No was a vote for abortion.
Well there's stupid and there's violent.

The Yes guy who shouted at No protesters that a vote No was a vote for abortion.

Heh, maybe he was thinking of the wrong Prop ;)
Gah, I love my freelance gigs, but not when they give me edits at 5pm to be done by morning. (No time to go through cbs5.com.)

Snerk, the No side was all "dude, this is the gay marriage prop... we're not actually in danger of unwanted pregnancies..." And he just kept on because his church told him that it was all tied together, and he had this handy pocket placard that told him what to say. And yet Prop 4 got almost no buzz.
"dude, this is the gay marriage prop... we're not actually in danger of unwanted pregnancies..."

Yeeeah. That makes no sense.
