SKINNER! Okay, I just had to get that out of the way. I loved Skinner, and out of DD, GA and MP, I have to say MP probably looks the best out of all of them.
Okay, now on to the more serious stuff.
I'm kind of confused about the backstory. I mean, yes I watched every episode of TXF, except the Brady Bunch episode, or maybe I just blocked that one out of my mind... but I went in and came out of the movie assuming that before this case came up and Agent Rapper asked Scully to contact Mulder, that they really hadn't been in contact much. But I'm getting a different interpretation from some of the discussion online. Like they weren't estranged or anything but obviously if he's on the run from the FBI they can't be living together because wouldn't she be the first people they would all watch? And the mountain man beard... she would definitely not be OK with that long-term.
Was it just me or was Amanda Peet's character hitting on Mulder? So of course she had to die.
I didn't recognize the bad guy until the credits. I am a bad BSG
I'm still confused about the Russian medical stuff. I know it's not the 'way' of the XF to actually explain things, but I'm still confused.
Scully said Mulder's stubbornness was the reason she fell in love with him. FELL IN LOVE. I just about strangled the armrest when that happened. Yes everybody's known they're in love and have been but to actually hear it made me go WEEEE.
Why would Mulder not have a gun? Yeah he probably wouldn't pass the background checks but come on a guy like Mulder knows how to get ahold of stuff.
It makes me sad to think of Mulder not in his little apartment with his dead fish and the X once taped to the wall and his leaky waterbed. Bwah.
I was on a binge of watching all the old XF episodes until I got distracted. I think when I'm done with my current binge of Charmed eps (I'm only watching to perv on Leo and Leo/Piper, honest) I will have to go back to XF. And watch FTF!
I have to say that in terms of general awesomeness FTF was way, way better than IWTB... there was more peril and sneakiness and anyway I
Okay, I will now sit back and await your many, many comments.
